San Diego Unified Collective MMJHybrids or Cross Strains are the result of cross pollination of 2 or more different strains. The resulting strain is a mix of all the strains crossed (usually 2), but there is generally one dominant strain that appears. The resulting hybrid marijuana will assume the effects, and often appearance, of the dominant strain.

Indica Dominant

  • Main effect will be that of whole body pain relief and reduction of inflammation.
  • The Sativa cross will help to make this hybrid more energetic than a straight Indica, and patients should be able to maintain normal activity levels while using a strain of this type.

Sativa Dominant

  • Main effect will generally take the form of appetite stimulation and nausea reduction with a very cerebral experience.
  • The Indica cross will help to ease pain, but will do so without tiring the patient out.
  • This type of strain is a good choice for patients undergoing chemotherapy.

Ultimately, a medical marijuana hybrid will smoke, appear and effect you in direct proportion to the amount of Sativa vs. Indica percentages they contain.
