If you have a physician’s recommendation to use medicinal marijuana and are a legal resident of California, you are covered under Prop 215 (also referred to as The Compassionate Use Act).

All California medical marijuana patients with a valid physician’s recommendation are included under Prop 215.

Also protected by Prop 215 are the primary caregivers of the patients with physician recommendations. A primary caregiver is a person that has been designated by the medical marijuana patient as someone who assumes responsibility for the health, safety and health of the MMJ patient. A caregiver (such as a spouse, nurse, professional caregiver, companion, etc.) maybe have more than one patient, but individual caregivers may not have more than one patient residing outside of their own city/county.
